It was a pleasure meeting all of you in our first class. I have gone through the placement exams that you took and have found that we, as a group, have quite a lot of work to do to be fully up to speed and ready for chapter 4. To this end I have devised a homework assignment that gets you working on the specific area that you need to brush up on. There will be a LOT of homework for many of you this weekend - block some time out for it!<- - - too much red ink on this one!
You should also look out for an invitation to subscribe to the class the DropBox folder in your email inbox. It might seem a bit complicated at first, but you will find that it is very helpful.
In case you did not get the email Click here for the Dropbox sign up link. You will need to create a user name and password. Please remember to write down your sign on information so you don't loose it.

PS: there will be a very short quiz on the reading assignment (Article #3 on p. 57 of the textbook).
